The workplace Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) is the most important Committee in any workplace. It has the responsibility of overseeing the health and safety off all workers under the authority of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
JHSC Representative Members are selected by the Union under Section 9(8) and Section 8(5) of the Occupatioal Health & Safety Act. Your union representatives are:
