The Ontario Labour Relations Board released its long-awaited 57 page decision regarding the the safety of Paramedics in the aspect of 2 portable radios, testing of 10-2000 buttons and some issues surrounding address flagging.

Peel Paramedics Offer Condolences, Peel Police Killed
Peel Paramedics are mourning the death of one of the fellow Emergency Services Workers in Peel Region.
On Monday, March 1, 2010, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Constable Artem “James” OTCHAKOVSKI, while operating a marked police cruiser, was involved in a two-vehicle collision in the intersection of Airport Road and Steeles Avenue East. Constable OTCHAKOVSKI was taken to Sunnybrook with critical injuries. Despite the hospital staff’s best efforts, Constable OTCHAKOVSKI succumbed to his injuries.
Paramedics WSIB Bill March 23
CUPE Paramedics attended Media Release MPP Cheri DiNovo for a private members bill on changes to WSIB relating to PTSD and emergency responders.
Cheri will be introducing the private members bill on March 23, 2:00 pm Queens Park and has asked for our support.
It will be important to have 100s of paramedics/dispatchers in the gallery so that the politicians see our support for the bill.
